Men’s Golf Competes in two invitationals

The Bluffton College men’s golf team recently competed in two invitationals. The Beavers first traveled to Urbana for the Blue Knight Invitational last Thursday and Friday where they faced off against 12 other squads. Next the Beavers traveled to the Capital University Invitational where they battled against nine other teams.

At the Urbana Invitational the Beavers finished with a total score of 743 good enough for tenth place at the event. Scott Coffman fired a 91 and 90 for a two-day total of 181 to lead the Beavers. Bob Day (95-87: 182) and Josh Zechman (96-87: 183) closely followed for the BC.

At the Capital University Invitational Bluffton notched an eighth place finish with a total score of 366. Leading the way for the Beavers again was Scott Coffman who shot an 85 on the day. Also competing for BC were Bob Day (90), Andy Bixler (92), Aaron Barrett (99), and Josh Zechman (99).

The men’s team will next travel to Ohio State-Lima on April 21.
