April 6, 2001

Bluffton College junior Mark Stutzman (Wooster/Wooster H.S.) has been named first team Academic All-Ohio by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association. Stutzman has a double major in chemistry and physics and has a minor in mathematics.

Eleven student-athletes were chosen for the NCAA Division III first team honor and eight more earned honorable mention status.

Stutzman was named first team All-Heartland Conference following the 2000 season for his efforts on the soccer field. He scored four goals and added a team-high four assists from his midfielder position. He led Bluffton with 13 points as a sophomore in 1999.

Of the 19 student-athletes on the list, Stutzman was the only representative from the Heartland Conference. One honoree was from a North Coast Athletic Conference school and the remaining 17 student-athletes named to the list were members of an Ohio Athletic Conference school.
