Buckingham had an outstanding week and led Bluffton to a 3-1 HCAC win over 7th-ranked Franklin on Saturday. During the week he batted .538 (7-13) with a double and notched a .667 (10-15) on-base percentage. In BC's win over Franklin, he was 1-2 with an RBI and made a sensational over-the-wall catch to rob Franklin of a homerun in the fourth inning.
Buckingham leads the team batting average (.459), runs scored (12), hits (28), doubles (3), on base percentage (.514) and slugging percentage (.541).
Bluffton will travel to Earlham College (Indiana) for a double-header on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 and will take on Manchester College (Indiana) in a three-game series on Friday and Saturday. The game on Friday will be played at Bluffton and the double-header on Saturday will be hosted by Manchester.
