Beavers defeat Manchester, lose to Franklin

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's tennis team (3-6, 1-4 HCAC) picked up a victory agaisnt Manchester College by a score of 5-4 and was defeated by Franklin College 9-0.
Leading the Beavers in the Manchester match was junior Pete Martin (Berne, Ind./South Adams) who provided a victory at the No. 2 singles position with a score of 6-3, 6-4. In doubles action, freshman Tim Kauffman (Liburn, Ga./Parkview) and freshman Blake Babcock (Findlay/Findlay) earned a win at the No. 2 doubles position 8-5. Freshman Nick Barth (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) and Isaiah Schloneger (Dundee/Central Christian) won at No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-5.
Bluffton's next match will be at Anderson University on April 11 at 4 p.m.
