Bluffton falls to rival Defiance in HCAC action

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's tennis team (2-4, 0-3 HCAC) was defeated 6-3 on April 5 by Defiance College.
Freshman Tim Kauffman (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) picked up a win at No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Eric Martin (Berne, Ind./South Adams) won Bluffton's only other singles victory at the No. 5 spot 6-4, 6-2.
The No. 2 doubles team of Blake Babcock (Findlay/Findlay) and Tim Kauffman picked up the lone doubles win 8-5.
The Beavers will be back at home on Wednesday, April 6, when they host Tri-State in non-conference action. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
