BC tennis team wins three out of four

   The
Bluffton College men’s tennis team played in four matches this past week and picked up three victories.  The Beavers defeated D II Tiffin University (9-0) as well as Heartland Conference foes Defiance (6-3) and Mount Saint Joseph (9-0).  Their lone loss on the week came against conference rival Hanover (3-6).

 

Leading the way for Bluffton was senior Brad Boyles (Berne, Ind./South Adam’s), who was unbeaten at both the #2 singles (4-0) and #2 doubles (4-0).  Boyles is now 3-0 in league singles play and 5-1 overall this year.  Teaming up with senior Kyle Sprunger (Berne, Ind/South Adams) at the #2 doubles position, the pair is 3-0 in league play and 6-0 for the season.  Senior Owen Beck (Archbold/Archbold) finished off the week with a 4-0 one-on-one record in #1 singles as well (3-0 HCAC).   

 

The Beavers will be back in action Tuesday when they host Ohio Northern University at 3 pm.
