Beavers earn best tournament finish in school history

– The Bluffton College men’s tennis team placed second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Beavers second place finish is the best in school history for the team. Seniors Brad Boyles (Berne, Ind./South Adams), Owen Beck (Archbold/Archbold) and  Kyle Sprunger (Berne, Ind./South Adams) were selected All-HCAC for 2004.

The Beavers played in the championship match in No. 1 singles, No. 2 singles, No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles.  The No. 2 doubles team of Boyles and Sprunger lost their second match of the year to Transylvania to go 11-2 for the season.
