BLUFFTON, OHIO – The Bluffton College men’s soccer team (3-4) defeated Lake Erie 5-1 on Saturday. The win is the second in a row for Beavers, defeating Cincinnati Bible 3-1 earlier in the week. Bluffton has won three of their last four matches.
John Lindow (Columbia Station/Padua Franciscan) led the Beavers with two goals on the day. Ricky Stoner (Worthington/Tree of Life), Diego Rodriguez (Kalona, IA/Iowa Mennonite) and Andrew Ferguson (Fredonia, Ny./Fredonia) posted a goal each for the Beavers. Rodriguez and Stoner had one assist on the match also. Goalkeeper Ryan Thomas had four saves on the match.
The Beavers will be back in action next Wednesday when they travel to Taylor Fort Wayne. Start time is slated for 4 p.m.
