BC wins third straight match with 3-2 victory over Concordia in double OT

October 25, 2001

Freshman Caspar Agyemen-Duah scored a goal and had two assists in the double overtime win over Concordia Thursday.

Bluffton College senior Mark Stutzman scored the game-winning goal with 10:00 left in double overtime as BC took a 3-2 victory over Concordia College (Mich.) Thursday afternoon at the Sears Athletic Complex. The win was the third straight for the Beavers, who are now 5-11 on the season.

Both teams scored two goals in the first half, which would be the end of the scoring until freshman Caspar Agyemen-Duah’s assist left Stutzman’s foot in the second overtime session.

Agymen-Duah and Stutzman hooked up for the game’s first goal with just over a minute gone by in the match, with Caspar getting the goal and Mark collecting the assist. Freshman Eric Stutzman scored the next BC goal off an assist from Agymen-Duah with 28:00 gone by in the first period.

Andrew Steeh scored both Concordia goals as the Cardinals see their record slip to 4-14-1.

Bluffton will host HCAC foe Manchester on Saturday with a chance at qualifying for the league tournament, which kicks off on October 31.
