The Bluffton College men’s golf team started the season on the road with two tournaments at Urbana and Manchester. The Beavers finished sixth and fifth out of eight teams in the both tournaments respectfully.
As a team Bluffton shot a 657 at the double-round tournament at Manchester (Honeywell Golf Course) which is the second best double-round total in Bluffton College history (655 in 1991). Leading the way for BC was Sophomore Scott Bergman (Elmore/Woodmore) with only one round above 80 (77, 79, 81). Also shooting well for Bluffton was Junior Rick Pagiano (Wooster/Northwestern) with the team’s low-round of 76 in one round at Manchester.
The Beavers will be back in action Friday and Saturday for a two-round match at the University of Findlay (Sycamore Springs and Red Hawk Run golf courses).
