The Bluffton College men’s golf team participated in two matches last week.  The Beavers played at Sycamore Springs on Monday and were victorious against Defiance and Wittenberg.  Bluffton played at Tri-State University on Wednesday and finished fifth out of eleven teams in the tournament with the second best single-round in school history (311).

Sophomore Scott Bergman (Elmore/Woodmore) received Heartland Conference player of the week honors for his efforts in those two matches.  Bergman shot consecutive scores of 73 (1-over par) to attain the honor.  Junior Rick Pagniano (Wooster/Northwestern) continued to play well last week as he shot two rounds of 77.

Bluffton has three matches this upcoming week starting at Defiance (Kettering C.C.) on Monday.  They also will compete at Sienna Heights (Coldwater C.C.) and OSU Lima (Hawthorne C.C.) on Thursday and Friday, respectfully.
