Scott Bergman named HCAC Player of Week

BLUFFTON, OHIO – Sophomore Scott Bergman (Elmore/Woodmore) has been named player of the week for the Heartland Conference in men’s golf for the week ending April 18, 2004.
Bergman earned medalist honors at Defiance last Monday by shooting a one-over par 73. The sophomore helped Bluffton win the tri-meet with Defiance and Wittenberg with a team score of 312.
On Wednesday, Bergman shot a 73 again which helped guide the Beavers to a team score of 311. Bluffton’s 311 is the second best single round in the history of the program. The record of 308 was set in 1981. Bergman’s individual score of 73 is the sixth best round in BC men’s golf history.
The Beavers are back in action today at Defiance, Thursday at Sienna Heights and Friday at OSU Lima.
