Bluffton takes 1st place at Defiance Invitational

The Bluffton College men's golf team won the Defiance Invitational at Kettering Country Club on Monday. The team finished 27 strokes ahead of second-place Manchester.
Junior Rick Pagniano (Wooster/Northwestern) shot a 76 to lead the Beavers. Senior Trevor Thomas (Jamestown/Greeneview) also shot well to finish with a 78 on the day. Sophomore Scott Bergman (Elmore/Woodmore) chipped in with an 81 after winning conference player of the week honors last week, and freshman Matt Keeler (Bluffton/Bluffton) rounded out the scoring for Bluffton with an 83.
Bluffton will play again on Thursday when they travel to Coldwater Country Club in Sienna Heights.
