The Men’s Basketball Program at Bluffton University will be an important part of the total educational process of our student-athletes. The program will operate on a daily basis by the philosophy that we are trying to develop our young men to their fullest potential in the classroom, on the court, on our campus and in the general public. A large part of this overriding philosophy is the idea of better. We are constantly trying to improve and get better in the areas previously mentioned. We believe that successful people possess and demonstrate the qualities of:
Many of the things that we do in our program and HOW WE DO THEM will have these six qualities in mind. As we go about our business, we will not compromise our integrity related to these six qualities. We are building successful life skills and qualities.
Being a basketball player at Bluffton is a privilege that is earned, not entitled. We make it clear to our players that playing basketball at Bluffton is a commitment and not just an interest. We want young men who are serious about getting a quality overall education in the classroom and on the court and who have a true passion for being a college basketball player.
With the combination of players and coaches who understand this philosophy and who are committed to it, there is no question that we will be successful on and off the court here at Bluffton.
