The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently announced the men's and women's basketball recipients of the HCAC All-Academic Awards for the 2005-06 school year. Two women's basketball players, senior Karin Schaller (Jenera, Ohio/Arlington) and junior Tanya Rickenberg (Paulding, Ohio/Paulding), were both honored for their efforts in the classroom. The Bluffton University men's basketball team had three juniors lauded for their accomplishments as student-athletes. Tom Heil (Stow, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban), David Patch (Minster, Ohio/Minster) and Eric Schwieterman (St. Henry, Ohio/St. Henry) were named HCAC All-Academic for their work in the classroom.
