Bulldogs bite the Beavers 74-64 on road

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Bluffton University men’s basketball team (3-3) was defeated 74-64 by Adrian College (4-0) on Dec. 4.

The Beavers kept the contest extremely close in the first half as the game changed hands twice and the Bulldog lead never eclipsed five points in the first period. At halftime Adrian would lead by four points, 38-34. Bluffton made a quick run late in the game as they squeezed the Bulldog lead to six (66-60) but couldn’t make up the difference and fell by 10 points, 74-64 in the end.

Leading the Beavers on the evening was junior Scott Bergman (Elmore/Woodmore) with 22 points and four steals. Junior Michael Kingsley (Bluffton/Bluffton) posted 12 points and junior Eric Sweet (Ottawa/Ottawa-Glandorf) rounded off the double digit scoring with 10 points and led the team with nine rebounds for the game.

Bluffton University will be back in action on Wednesday night as they travel to Division I Bowling Green State University. Tip off for the contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
