The Bluffton College men’s basketball team is proud to announce that they will host Take a Kid to the Game Day on Saturday, February 7, 2004. The Beavers have a home game against Heartland Conference opponent Transylvania University. Tip off for the contest is scheduled for 3 pm. Any child under the age of 14 will be admitted free to the contest with the purchase of a regular adult ticket ($3).
The event will mark the first time that Bluffton College men’s basketball has offered TAKG day during the winter season. The Bluffton football team has been a part of the program for the past five years. Local youth teams from the area are encouraged to be a part of the event.
“This is a wonderful opportunity and event for young people to experience the fun of small college basketball,” head coach Guy Neal said. “We hope that many people will take the time to bring a young person to the game.”
A junior varsity contest is scheduled for 1:20 pm (vs. Transylvania), with the varsity game tip off slated for 3 pm. For more information on this NCAA event log on to the web at www.takg.com or email sports information director, Ben Risinger, at risingerb@bluffton.edu.
