CODY E. HOLP, age 19, of Arcanum, passed away, Friday, March 2, 2007 in Atlanta, GA., as a result of injuries suffered in a bus accident.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Marjorie Holp and Mary Ann Hansford, and grandfather Delmer Howard.
He was a 2006 graduate of Tri-County North High School where he played baseball, soccer and football. He was currently attending Bluffton University where he was a business major and played on the baseball team. He was a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church and participated in Big Brother & Big Sister programs. Cody was very outgoing and was caring to everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother and step-father Kimberly and Bob Askins, father Jeff Holp; brothers Gaar Holp, Austin Holp, and Joseph Askins; sister Alyssa Askins; paternal grandfather Harold Holp, Brookville, maternal grandfather, Alvin Hansford, Pine Ridge, KY; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many special friends including Donald Kirby who Cody helped and worked with for some time.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Pratt officiating. Interment Arlington Cemetery. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Cody Holp Memorial Trust Fund c/o First Financial Bank, 100 N.
