BLUFFTON, Ohio – Junior Sam McCullough (Bluffton OH/Bluffton) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 29, 2006.
McCullough led the Beavers with 17 tackles, including five solos, in a 7-6 loss to Hanover. The junior picked off a Panther pass on the second play from scrimmage and also forced a fumble and recorded two tackles for a loss. McCullough currently ranks third in the conference with 97 tackles.
The Beavers are 3-5 on the season and they will visit Mount St. Joseph at Schueler Stadium on November 4, 2006. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
