Beavers to sponsor NCAA football event for seventh straight year

Children have the opportunity to experience a college football game as the Bluffton hosts NCAA Football’s seventh annual “Take A Kid to the Game” (TAKG) program presented by POWERade and other Corporate Champions, Cingular Wireless and Pontiac. Kids, ages thirteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket ($3), to watch the Beavers at Salzman Stadium.
Bluffton is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that are taking part in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games. The Take A Kid to the GameÒ program is entering into its tenth year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.
“It is good to spark an early interest into the sport of football,” head coach Greg Brooks said. “I’m sure that the kids will be as excited about the contest as the adults are. We’re happy to see both the parents and kids get caught up in the festivities of the game.”
