BC Baseball Coaches

Greg Brooks

Head Coach

Entering his 20th season at Bluffton College, Greg Brooks is positioning his 2000 BC squad for a run at the Heartland Conference title. Brooks produced 15 wins last season from a young team, and with experience and a solid group of upperclassmen in camp this season, he hopes that Bluffton's second season in the HCAC will be memorable.

Brooks is Bluffton's all-time winningest coach with 226 career wins. His teams have posted double-digit wins 14 seasons and he has won at least 15 games six different years. Brooks led BC into the NAIA District 22 playoffs four times in the 1980s and twice to the runner-up spot of the Association of Mideast Colleges Tournament in the 1990s

Brooks also serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the BC football squad. He is a 1977 graduate of Ohio University, where he was a quarterback for the Bobcats. Brooks received his master's degree from Marshall University in 1979. He is an assistant professor of health, physical education and recreation at BC.

Ken Von Lehmden
Assistant Coach
Ken Von Lehmden returns for his seventh season along side Greg Brooks in the BC baseball program. Focusing his
efforts with the Bluffton pitching staff, Von Lehmden has coached three of Bluffton's all-time wins leaders, John
Mast '87, Paul Von Lehmden '99 and 2000 senior Joel Parrett.

Von Lehmden has coached at all levels of amateur baseball. He taught and was the head baseball coach at Hardin-
Northern High School for seven seasons and was an assistant coach at Bluffton High School for two seasons.

A 1973 graduate from the University of Findlay, Von Lehmden was a four-year starting pitcher for the Oilers and
also earned three letters in basketball. He helped lead Findlay to two conference baseball titles and one trip to the
NAIA National Tournament.
