DeAnna Anderson is having quite a senior season. The senior from Cory-Rawson High School is leading the Bluffton College women's soccer team in goals and points this season and is currently ranked third in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in both categories, as well. She has eight goals on the season, six of which have been scored in HCAC competition, and three assists for 19 points.

"She's very hard working and it gets us fired up," said teammate and sister Laura Anderson. "We see her succeed and do well, and she encourages us so much. It causes us to get focused and work harder, too."

BC posts an overall record of 7-7 this season and is 2-3 in the HCAC. The Beavers posted two tough losses in their last two outings, falling 4-1 to Mount St. Joseph last Tuesday and 6-1 on Saturday at Heidelberg. Freshman Jill Domachowski scored both BC goals in the two matches off assists from DeAnna Anderson and sophomore Katie Kantner.

Bluffton was to have traveled to Wilmington College Thursday and will host their last home game of the year on Saturday against Goshen College at noon. It will be senior day for Bluffton, as DeAnna Anderson, Chrissy Burwinkel, Shelly Cox, Chris Harney and Margie Howard all the take the field for the last time in the Sears Athletic Complex.

The HCAC Tournament is set to take place beginning October 26, and the Beavers and Head Coach Rick Fee will be ready. "I just hope we go out there and play the best game we can," said Laura Anderson.
