Pequignot, Eichelberger named All-HCAC

Sophomore outside hitter Mandy Pequignot was named first team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference last weekend as the Bluffton College volleyball team wrapped up their 1999 season in the HCAC Tournament hosted by Anderson University.
Bluffton, the #5 seed in the tournament, won their first round match against #4 seed Franklin College on Friday, 15-10, 15-6, 15-6. On Saturday, however, the Beavers met #1 seed Mount St. Joseph, the eventual HCAC champions, who dropped BC 7-15, 11-15, 5-15 and finished their regular season record at 26-4. Statistics from the HCAC tournament matches were unavailable at press time.
Senior defensive specialist Dena Eichelberger was named second team All-HCAC as Head Coach Sara Wakefield finished her first season with a 14-20 overall record.
Final statistics will be announced at a later date.
