Traveling to Defiance College last Wednesday in search of their first win, the Bluffton College men's tennis team came up with a big 5-4 win on the Yellow Jackets' home courts.
BC singles winners included Alan Sakoman, David Barnes, Garrett Skare and Darko Arsov, while the doubles tandem of Skare and Genti Basha also was victorious.
"It was nice to win our first dual of the year," said Head Coach Kevin Brintnell, but added that there is room for improvement. "I felt we didn't play as well as we could have. I was pleased with the way we closed out some of the matches. We won some good points when we needed to."
Bluffton fell to Heidelberg last Thursday 9-0. BC was to have played at Wittenberg Thursday and will host Mount St. Joseph and Wilmington on Saturday.
