Parrett, five offensive linemen on national team of the week

Six Bluffton College football players were named to this week's d3football.com's national team of the week for their efforts in last Saturday's game with Hanover College. Quarterback Joel Parrett (Oakwood, OH/Paulding HS) was named the national quarterback of the week, while the men providing the protection, Clint Fox, Rick Orr, Jeremy Poeppelman, Dan Voress and Jason Wright, were named as the offensive line of the week.
Parrett completed 22 of 28 passes against Hanover for 411 yards and three touchdowns and also ran in a touchdown. The senior three-year starter has passed for 1,135 yards and eight touchdowns in the first four games and is currently ranked first in the country in completion percentage at 73.0%. He is third in the country in passing efficiency at 186.7.
Providing the protection for Parrett and the rest of the offense that is averaging 526 yards and 40 points per game is Bluffton's veteran offensive line. Seniors Clint Fox (Wapakoneta, OH) and Jason Wright (Harrod, OH/Allen East HS), juniors Jeremy Poeppelman (Huber Heights, OH/Wayne HS) and Dan Voress (New Breman, OH) and sophomore Rick Orr (Bluffton, OH) are the men up front for Head Coach Carlin Carpenter.
Bluffton dropped a heartbreaker to #17 Hanover College last Saturday 41-38 as the Panthers kept their undefeated season alive at 4-0. Bluffton dropped to 3-1 overall and is currently ranked #41 in the latest USA Today/CNN American Football Coaches' Association poll.
