BLUFFTON, Ohio –Freshman Justin Jones (Washington Court House/Washington Senior) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 12, 2006.
Jones finished the week with a 2-0 record, including a one-hit shutout in Bluffton’s 4-0 win over New Jersey City on March 7. The southpaw finished the week with a 0.63 ERA, surrendering only one run in 14.1 innings of work. He has held the opponents to a .109 batting average, while striking out 17 and only walking five. Jones has helped the Beavers to a 4-5 start this season.
