Baseball splits doubleheader with New Jersey City University

FT. MYERS, Fla. – The Bluffton University baseball team (2-4) split their games with New Jersey City University on March 10. The Beavers took game one 13-8 and dropped game two 13-3.
Freshman Kyle White (Berne, Ind./South Adams) led the Beavers in game one with three hits (one double) and two RBI’s. Junior Tony Gerig (West Unity/Hilltop) posted three hits with a lone RBI in the game. Will Gerber (Apple Creek/Kidron Christian) picked up his second win of the year on the mound for Bluffton.
Junior Lowell Wyse (Camden, Mich./Heston) posted two hits and one RBI to lead Bluffton in game two. Junior Riordan McClain (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) knocked out a one run homer for his first of the season. Junior Aaron Krieger (Ida, Mich./Ida) received his second loss of the year on the mound.
The Beavers will play Olivet (12 noon) and Hiram (3 p.m.) on Friday, March 11.
