Polar Bears take contest from Bluffton

ADA, OHIO – The Bluffton College baseball team (9-28, 4-14 HCAC) dropped a single 9-inning game to Ohio Northern (17-17) on Monday afternoon 7-3.
Senior catcher Luke Clouse (Rockford/Parkway) went 2-fo-3 at the plate with one run scored for the Beavers. Jim Dwenger, Ryan Fiely and Tony Gerig posted a single RBI each to bat in Bluffton’s three runs.
Senior Ryan Whitaker (Hicksville/Hicksville) received the loss on the mound to drop to 0-4 for the season. He pitched five innings giving up two hits and striking out four batters.
Bluffton College will be back in action on Thursday for their 2004 home finale when they start their HCAC series against Anderson University. The single 9-inning game is slated to start at 4 pm.
