Baseball loses heartbraker in 11 innings

BLUFFTON, OHIO - The Bluffton College baseball team (4-14, 0-3 HCAC) were defeated by Cedarville University (7-11) 14-9 in 11 innings.


Senior Jim Dwenger (Minster/Minster) led the Beavers offensive effort going 5-for-7 with two doubles on the outing. Junior Ryan Fiely (Greenville/Greenville Sr.) went 4-for-5 for the day with four singles. Freshman pitcher Rustin Pickett (Urbana/Urbana) picked up the loss on the mound for Bluffton.

 

The Beavers will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Manchester for the start of their 3-game series. Bluffton will then be back at home on Saturday for a doubleheader against the Spartans. Start time is scheduled for noon.
