Transylvania takes opening series from Beavers

The Bluffton College baseball team (4-13, 0-3 HCAC) dropped two at Transylvania on Saturday in their HCAC opener, 9-2 and 4-3.
Senior Josh Underwood (Bluffton/Cory-Rawson) picked up his first loss of the year on the mound in the first game of the day (3-1). Junior Brad Moore (Fredericktown/Fredericktown) posted two hits in the game for Bluffton with senior Jim Dwenger (Minster/Minster) recording a double.
Sophomore Riordan McClain (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) popped out two hits and double for the Beavers in the second game. Sophomore Randy Miller (Willard/Willard) received the loss at the mound.
Bluffton College will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Cedarville for one 9-inning game. Start time is scheduled for 3 pm.
