The new Health and Fitness Education Center, to be located to the north of Marbeck Center, will include:
- Performance arena
- Home to men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball
- Seating for more than 1,500
- Two practice courts and a walking/jogging track
- Weights and fitness center
- Spacious 5,000 square foot design to meet the needs of all students and varsity athletes
- Separate areas for aerobic fitness and free weights
- Windows overlooking the Riley Creek
- Sports medicine center
- Exam room and offices for physician and trainers
- Rehabilitation space including SwimEX hydrotherapy room
- Dedicated areas for treatment and taping
- Locker and team rooms
- Collegiate locker and shower facilities
- Team rooms for meeting, game films and study tables
- Locker rooms for visiting teams, officials, coaches and all students
- Athletics offices
- Athletics director, coaches and graduate assistants
- Reception and conference room for recruit visits
- Home to the academic department of health, fitness and sport science
- Multi-purpose facilities
- A unique space for classes, meetings and special events with an elevated view of the performance arena
- Expansive concourse with catering and concessions areas
