Peace Education and Action Community Endeavor (PEACE) Club
PEACE Club meets every Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Bob's Place to plan events, discuss current events, pray for the healing of our world and encourage each other on our journeys. We also gather for letter writing to Congress on the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Twisted Whisk. Whether student or community member, we'd love to have you join us for whatever you are able!
The PCS office located in Riley Court (religion department) has information available about a wide variety of opportunities available such as: job and internship openings, scholarships, volunteer and grad school programs, as well as a number of PCS related audio-visual resources.
PCS also coordinates conflict resolution activities with The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center, now recognized as a member of the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP).
- Every year students are invited to participate in the C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest (in coordination with the communication department).
- The Jim Satterwhite Award in Peace Scholarship and Activism with a $100 award is given annually to a student who has demonstrated significant commitment to peace building activities.
