Holiday Concert

Bluffton to host musical ‘holiday celebration’

BLUFFTON, Ohio—Bluffton University’s music department will host “A Holiday Celebration,” featuring the Bluffton Concert Band, a saxophone quartet and a brass choir, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Including both sacred and secular carols, the concert is free and open to the public. An offering will be taken for music scholarships.

Dr. Roy Couch, visiting assistant professor of music, will conduct the Concert Band and the brass choir. Dr. Adam Schattschneider, professor of music, will perform in the saxophone quartet on alto saxophone, as will Ryan Johnson-Evers, a Bluffton junior from Muskego, Wis. Joining them will be Chelsey Parker, a junior from McComb, Ohio, on baritone saxophone, and Jarrett Barr, a post-secondary enrollment student from Bath High School on tenor saxophone.
