Art exhibit to open Nov. 3
Bluffton University will host “Agitated Aggregate,” an exhibition of recent two- and three-dimensional work by artist Thomas Linder, beginning Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of the Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The exhibit, including ink-on-paper work and computer-animated inflatables, is free and open to the public through Dec. 6. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A reception with Linder is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
In his most recent series, Linder, a sculpture graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, focuses on simple grid compositions that highlight the specific physicality of the material and the process used. He currently teaches 3-D art at Bowling Green State University, where he earned a master of fine arts degree in 2011.
