Global Weekend set

Film, food and entertainment are planned for Global Weekend at Bluffton University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16.

The weekend will begin Friday with a 7:30 p.m. screening of the 2002 film "Whale Rider" in Centennial Hall's Stutzman Lecture Hall.

The Commons in Marbeck Center will host Saturday's events. An ethnic meal will be served from 5-6 p.m. and an international variety and fashion show will follow at 6:30 p.m. A piñata will be available for children before the show, at 6:15 p.m.

Sponsoring the weekend is Bluffton's International Connection group. All of the events are open to the public and free except for the meal, which costs $6 for children ages 7-12 and $9 for ages 13 and up. Children under 7 may eat for free.
