The Bluffton University MCST Department:
- prepares mathematics majors for a wide variety of vocations and professional positions that value analytical reasoning skills, mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Our students have found positions in business, industry, actuarial mathematics, teaching and graduate school. Others have found careers in other professional positions as diverse as law, music and the pastorate.
- helps information technology (IT) majors to build a broad-based understanding of digital media, programming languages and information technology issues along with critical thinking and communications skills. Bluffton graduates can expect to pursue careers in business, education and non-profit organizations as project developers, project managers, IT educators, and specialists in IT and media applications.
We also serve other departments by offering courses appropriate for students in business, social sciences, physical and life sciences and elementary education, and minors in mathematics, CS and IT which complement majors in those areas.
