2008 details
Cost: 

  • Run: Advanced registration by April 18 - $12 (no shirt) and $17 (with shirt);  after April 18 - $15 (no shirt available).  You may register on the day of the race.  Check-in and registration begin at 7:45 a.m. at Burcky Gym, Bluffton University.
  • Walk: advanced walk registration by April 18 - $5 (no shirt) and $10 (with shirt);  after April 18 - $5 (no shirt available). You may register on the day of the race.  Check-in and registration begin at 7:45 a.m. at Burcky Gym, Bluffton University

Run course: All paved roads, mile splits and water along route.

Walk course: Main course is mostly trail with an alternate course on paved roads.

Run awards: First overall male and female finishers will receive plaques. Medallions will be given to top three finishers in each age group for both male and female.  Certificates will be given to all runners. Results will be sent to all runners.

Walk awards: Since the walk is not supervised, no awards are given. 

A Bluffton University bookstore gift certificate will be given to participants. Proceeds of the run/walk benefit the Bluffton University Alumni Association.

Special prize drawing: The names of all run entrants will be placed in a drawing for a bicycle and a one-night stay in a jacuzzi room at the Bluffton Comfort Inn. The drawing will take place immediately following the run.  Participants my be present at the time of the drawing to win.

Free post-race refreshments for all registrants.
