The Lion and Lamb: Young Artist Gallery

PEACE GARDEN  -  YOUNG ARTISTS' GALLERY  -

Reflections of Peace: Reasons for Hope

A large barn window with sixteen individual window panes, donated by Jerry and Nancy Suter of Pandora, Ohio, displays the art collection. Preschool children through college age youth are encouraged to submit art work. Themes, including but not limited to the following, are suggested: cross-cultural appreciation, interaction between faiths, family, relationships and conflict resolution. Young children can create art in response to listening to a children's book.

1.  Create art work horizontally with display area 6 in. X 10 in. with additional margins around the sides.

2.  Colored pencils, crayons, markers, pencil, watercolor, paint or photography are all acceptable.

3.  On the back, write the artist's full name, address, grade or age.  If it was in response to a book, write the title and author.

4.  Send the unfolded art and artist information to:
The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center
          1 University Drive
          Bluffton, OH 45817

By submitting art, the artists are giving permission to display their work in the gallery, as well as on the Web at www.bluffton.edu/lionlamb. Art will be displayed on a rotation basis and will not be returned to the artist, but will be compiled into a notebook to be added to The Lion and Lamb collection.  This is an ongoing project.
