The Lion & Lamb Peace Arts Center
Bluffton University hosted a group of middle schoolers from China; among their activities was an orientation at The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center led by director Louise Matthews.
Through all appropriate means, but especially through arts and literature,
The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center of Bluffton University promotes
the study of peace and justice,
and nonviolent responses to conflict
with an emphasis on these themes for children.
The Lion and Lamb has published a picture book, Swords to Plowshares, written by Lisa Weaver and illustrated by Amanda Huston '13. Stop by the center to purchase your copy for $21.35 (including tax.) To have a copy sent to you, simply print the order form and send with your payment.
"Swords to Plowshares" is also sold at the Kauffman Museum in Newton, Kansas, where John Klassen's MCC original medallion is located.
The Lion and Lamb is open limited hours during the summer: 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (with some exceptions.) Feel free to contact me at 419-358-3207 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange another time.
