The glass-enclosed atrium which abuts the north side of the original building

This solution has become popular, seen in a modest way in Sir Norman Foster's courtyard space of the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha Nebraska (1994) and in a grand way in Foster's Great Court of the British Museum in London (2000).
