Inauguration Ceremony of Dr. J. Alexander Sider, Yoder Recital Hall

Join us for the historic Inauguration of Bluffton University's 11th president. RSVP is required for this event, space is limited.

Friday, Oct. 3
4-5 p.m.
Friday Colloquium, Stutzman Lecture Hall, Using new tools to assess neighborhood quality," Dr. Walt Paquin, director of social work program; professor of social work

This presentation reports on the use of Zillow as a tool to track home values and neighborhood development over 20 years for low-to-moderate income home buyers.
8-10 p.m.
Reunion Zero, Southgate Lanes

Members of the Class of 2025 are invited back to campus for their first class reunion for bowling at Southgate Lanes.

Homecoming 5k and Family Fun Walk, Salzman Stadium
Join us for a 5k race through campus or a family fun walk around the track. 
Registration opens at 8 a.m., race starts at 8:30 a.m.

The return of the traditional choir reunion! Sing and reminisce with fellow alumni choir members. Light refreshments will be served following the sing in Gilliom Room, Mosiman Hall.

20th Class Reunion, Library Lawn Firepit
The class of 2005 will share memories around the campfire pit at the end of Adams Bridge.

Class of 1975 alumni are invited to the 50th class reunion. Lunch will be served, pre-registration is appreciated.

Beaver Tail-Gating, Salzman Stadium parking lot
Alumni, parents and friends, reserve a tailgating area for the game or stop in to join us for cornhole, music and other student life activities in the Beaver Tail-Gate Zone located in the parking lot beside Salzman Stadium.

Football Alumni Tail-Gating, Alumni Field
Football alumni are welcome to a special Beaver Tail-Gating section on the track inside alumni field. Get up close to the action with sideline seating. Reconnect with classmates and teammates during the game.

Food Trucks, Bentley Road
A variety of food vendors will be available for an additional cost. A dining tent with seating will be available outside the stadium for alumni, friends and family.

Kids Zone & J. Denny Birthday Bash, Salzman Stadium
Inflatables, crafts, Beaver birthday party activities and more inside Salzman Stadium gates. Plus, celebrate J. Denny's 15th birthday with a sweet treat!

Elbert Dubenion Plaque Dedication, Salzman Stadium entrance
Join us for the dedication of the Elbert Dubenion plaque, commemorating his legacy at Bluffton and beyond.  
1-3 p.m.
Berky Science Hall Time Capsule Exhibit, Musselman Library
Explore the treasures found inside the Berky Hall cornerstone timecapsule. See what life in Bluffton was like back in 1914!
1:30 p.m.
Beaver Football vs. Manchester, Alumni Field
Cheer on the Bluffton Beavers as they take on the Manchester Spartans. Go Beavers!
3-4:30 p.m.
Nature Walk with Dr. Jacob Buchanan, Bluffton University Nature Preserve, Moyer Nature Center
Explore the Bluffton University Nature Preserve with Dr. Jacob Buchanan, assistant professor of environmental science, M'della Moon Endowed Chair in Botany and Environmental Science. Learn about the many species right in our back yard and what latest projects have been taking place at the preserve. 
6-8 p.m.
The President’s Banquet, The Commons, Marbeck Center
This invitation-only event will honor Alumni awardees as well as members of the President’s Society, Heritage Society and Noah C. Hirschy Society
8-10 p.m.
Alumni and Students Block Party, Vine Street, the Village of Bluffton
Bluffton alumni, students and friends are welcome to a block party on Vine Street in the Village of Bluffton. Relax and enjoy the night with activities, snacks and conversation.
