  • The American Association for State and Local History

    Description: An organzation formed in 1904 under the title of the Conference of State and Local Historical Societies. It was not until 1940, when the AASLH would cut its connections with the CSLHS to become an independent organization. This group ensures the continuation in the studying of local and state history. It is reccomended that any student interested in local or state history to spend some time viewing the material on this site.

    Description:  The premier organization for American historians. It was founded in 1884 and has been serving as a way for all American historians to work with each other.
