Faculty Position in Music
Director of Bands and Conductor of Concert Band
Instrumental Music Education
Full-time; Tenure-Track; Rank Dependent on Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in Music or Music Education or related field. ABD will be considered. Professional experience desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will oversee instrumental programs, direct the Concert Band; teach courses in instrumental music education, music history, world music; applied areas (specifically brass); support the university's general education and interdisciplinary programs, and conduct research that supports and extends disciplinary, departmental and university missions.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.
APPOINTMENT: Fall semester 2014.
