Adjunct Faculty to teach a general education physics course

One five-hour course in the fall; one five-hour course in the spring

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's required..

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Each semester teach The Physical World, a general education science course. Three 50-minute class sessions per week and two hour-and-20-minute lab sessions per week. The course is designed to introduce non-science majors to fundamental concepts of physics. It also presents some earth and space science topics. Laboratory sessions give students hands-on experience, which illuminates topics explored in the lecture sessions. Throughout, the presentation includes the history of the science, the present-day understanding of the science and the impact of scientific knowledge on humankind..

COMPENSATION:
$3500 per semester

APPOINTMENT:
Fall Semester 2013 and Spring Semester 2014.
