Faculty Position in Communication

Full-time; Tenure-Track; Rank Dependent on Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD preferred; would consider MFA or MA with extensive media experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach courses in Multimedia Journalism, Radio Production, Video Production, Sport Communication, and other departmental courses as needed, such as Public Speaking and Persuasion; advise and supervise the student-directed campus FM station and multimedia news source; develop and supervise a network of internships that serve departmental majors; support the university's general education and interdisciplinary programs, and conduct research that supports and extends disciplinary, departmental and university missions. Provide leadership in program development given the changing environment of mass media.

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.

APPOINTMENT: Fall semester 2014.
