Optometry is a profession concerned with vision problems and eye health. An optometrist conducts eye tests, prescribes corrective lenses, and recommends eye therapy. Practitioners are required to pass a National Board Exam and a state licensing examination after completion of a 4-year graduate program (the O.D. program).
