Graduate Schools
Are you ready for more education? Graduate school can allow you to specialize in your field and even increase your salary. Graduate Schools are located all across the nation.
To enter graduate school, you will most likely be required to take the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). The GRE General Test "measures analytical writing, verbal, and quantitative skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study." The General Test is offered three times a year in October, March, and June. A computer-based General Test, which can be taken any time of the year, is available.
GRE Subject Tests are offered in November, December, and April. The Subject Tests are "designed to help graduate school admission committees and fellowship sponsors assess the qualifications of applicants in specific fields of study. The tests also provide students with an assessment of their own qualifications." Eight different Subject Tests are offered in different disciplines: Biochemistry/Cell and Molecular Biology; Biology; Chemistry; Computer Science; Mathematics; Physics; Psychology; and Literature in English.
