Dentistry

For admission into dentistry school, you must first take the Dental Admissions Test, (DAT).  The DAT is now computerized; so, it is offered every day of the year.  It is a 5-hour affair encompassing 4 sections and is scored on a scale from 1 to 30.  There is a 90-minute Natural Science section that includes biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry.  The other sections include Perceptual Ability (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (60 minutes), and Quantitative Reasoning (45 minutes).

After succeeding on the exam, your next step is to apply to schools. The Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) provides a universal application that many schools accept.
