The following was taken from the Ohio Department of Education Website under Frequently Asked Questions
In order to recieve a teaching license in the state of Ohio, the following criteria must be met:
- Successfully complete a preparation program at an approved teacher education institution;
- Pass applicable portions of the Praxis II exams; and
- Successfully complete a background check by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCII) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
