What excites you about being a teacher?
I love the students here at Bluffton, they are very engaging and make the job rewarding.
When did you decide to become a teacher?
I do not really know when I decided to become a teacher it was more a calling that I felt. I feel as though I am a Christian disguised as a teacher, so who knows maybe one day the Lord's calling for me will change. I am happy where I am at right now though.
What is your favorite class to teach and why?
My favorite class to teach would be Interpersonal Communications. This class focuses on preparing students for relationships, jobs, etc. It pretty much prepares them for real life.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
I like to be wherever people are. I love being around the people here at Bluffton.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not teaching?
I love to spend time with my wife and kids. That is the most rewarding thing. Besides that, I like to do physical work like construction.
What was your favorite subject in high school?
To be honest I hated high school. I always felt there was more I could be doing.
What was your first job?
Growing up my first job was working for my dad's business. Other then that, I worked at a golf course down the street from my house.
What extracurricular activities were you involved in during college?
I was pretty much involved in everything that had to do with music and art.
Where is your favorite vacation destination?
Anywhere outside with my kids. I love the nature, and I am more of a warm weather person then cold.
What is something you would like to do before you die?
The only thing that comes to mind is spending as much time as possible with my family. I am happy with where I am at in life right now, and just want to spend time with them.
